Classes

Ringo – Orange broom corn with variegated green/yellow/turquoise/green twine. This is a VIRTUAL class. You will be emailed the video link after the class is purchased. The class kit includes 1/4 pound broom corn, 11 meters of twine, a jerk string and a rubber band.  This class teaches you how to make a HAWK TAIL whisk and work with one twine.

PLEASE NOTE: The green broom is an EXAMPLE of the Hawk Tail Whisk. Your kit does not have these colors in it.

PREREQUISITE: Broom Making 101 OR previous broom making experience.

Belle –  Neon pink tipped black topped broom corn with natural reed, aqua and and variegated rose twines. This class is accompanied by a YouTube recording. The link will be sent in an email.  The class kit includes 1/3 pound broom corn, two dowels with 11 meters each of twine, 16 feet of reed, a jerk string and a rubber band.  This class teaches you how to make a TURKEY WING whisk, work with two twines and weave twine on a reed handle.

INCLUDES ON-DEMAND CLASS VIDEO WHICH SHOWS TWO STYLES OF THE SIMPLY WITCHY BROOM. There’s the standard broom for sweeping or flying and the dancing broom or walking stick which requires a cane tip (not included in the kit but can be added as you desire). PREREQUISITE: Broom Making 101*.  Broom Making 201 is also recommended. *Or previous broom making experience.

The Forest Walker kit includes 1 unfinished handle, 2 colors of broom corn – brilliant orange and cherry red, a dowel of tarred twine, a card of 2 twines together for hanging loop and a small jar containing Howard Butcher Block Conditioner for your handle. You will apply it to your own handle with a cloth you provide.  The card in the 2nd image is an example only. Your card will have twines that compliment your broom corn colors.

NOTE: the kits will not go out until after the Full Moon on March 14th.  Expect a small delay there at this time.  The video is through Vimeo and you will receive that after the kit is shipped for the time being.
